HA.GO 04.01: YGUAZU FALLS, ONE DAY (PRIVAT SERVICE)

After midnight, we start our trip to CIUDAD DEL ESTE. After arriving very early in the morning, breakfast and then a visit to ITAIPU the greatest Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant in the world.. Concluded the visit, we will make a short promenade through the Itaipu Museum and the Flora- and Fauna- Gardens. Then, still in the morning, we will cross the PUENTE DE LA AMISTAD (Friendship Bridge), which unifies PARAGUAY and BRASIL over the impressing PARANA RIVER. After lunch we will visit the YGUAZU National Park, to see the 8th Marvel Of The World, the famous YGUAZU FALLS. In the afternoon, we return to Asuncion, arriving there before midnight. ONLY FOR PEOPLE WITH NEARLY NO TIME.

Jesuitics' Ruins

HA.GO 05.01: ON THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE JESUITS, ONE DAY

After midnight, we will go southwards on the highway nr 1. In SAN IGNACIO we will visit the CHURCH and JESUIT MUSEUM. Then, we continue our trip to ENCARNACION, brief visit, appreciated the SAN ROQUE GONZALEZ DE SANTA CRUZ bridge which unifies PARAGUAY WITH ARGENTINA.. Lunch and visit to the JESUIT REDUCTIONS OF TRINIDAD, declared "UNIVERSAL PATRIMONY OF HUMANITY" by the UNESCO. After the visit, we return to Asuncion. ONLY FOR PEOPLE WITH NEARLY NO TIME.

HA.GO 03.02: ONE DAY IN THE CHACO

For this tour we will also leave early before sunrise, so we are in time to observe the morning flights of the birds. The typical MEDIA MAÑANA (Late breakfast) is part of this trip, too. On this tour we will reach the km 283,5 of the Trans Chaco highway. The number and variety of birds will increase as further we penetrate into the Chaco and with some luck we get insight some other animals of the fauna of this region. Even in the flora you will notice a greater variation. The typical shelters of the natives and their way of survival is part of the natural life you may get a small impression. Lunch will be served in a rustic restaurant. We will return in the afternoon. THE DIMENSIONS OF THE CHACO ARE UNLIMITED. Itaipu dam

HA.GO 04.02: YGUAZU FALLS, TWO DAYS

DAY 01: Early in the morning, we leave for CIUDAD DEL ESTE. On the way we will visit the Mythological Museum of Capiata and the typical Ñanduti laces of Itagua. After a stop for lunch, we will visit the MONDAY-FALLS, the ITAIPU HYDROELECTRIC PLANT. Before sunset, we will cross the FRIENDSHIP BRIDGE to the city of FOZ DE YGUAZU - BRASIL, lodging at Hotel CARIMA (BRISTOL Hoteleria) or similar. Free night for dinner and/or a BRAZILIAN FOLKLORE-SHOW.
DAY 02: Breakfast (included) and visit to the YGUAZU NATIONAL PARK where we will spend the morning admiring the IMPOSING 8th MARVEL OF THE WORLD, the YGUAZU FALLS. On the way to the waterfalls we can visit the BIRD PARK and participate on the MACUCO SAFARI on the Yguazu river. After lunch we will return to Asuncion.

Ruins of Jesus

HA.GO 05.02: ON THE FOOTSTEPS THE JESUITS, 2 DAYS

DAY 01: Early in the morning we will leave Asuncion to travel the ASUNCION-ENCARNACION highway. On the way, we will visit the FRANCISCAN CHURCH OF YAGUARON with its marvellos crafts made by aborigenes carving native woods. In VILLA FLORIDA, a summer resort and fishing village on the Tebycuary River, we will make a brief stop, then continue trip to SAN IGNACIO and the Museum of the First Jesuit Reduction. Lunch and on the way again to ENCARNACION; there a brief citysightseeing with a spectacular view on the SAN ROQUE GONZALEZ BRIDGE, which unifies ENCARNACION (Paraguay) with POSADAS (Argentina). Then we arrive to the hotel, check in, and night at Your disposal.
DAY 02: Breakfast and visit to the RUINS OF JESUS and TRINIDAD, declared "UNIVERSAL PATRIMONY OF HUMANITY" by the UNESCO. Lunch and visit to the prosper colonies of European immigrants of HOHENAU and OBLIGADO. In the afternoon, we return to Asuncion.
NOTE: In cases of heavy rain, only the TRINIDAD ruins will be visited.

Chaco's swamp

HA.GO 03.03: TWO DAYS IN THE HEART OF THE CHACO

DAY 01: In the morning we will start our journey to the UNEXPECTED, the PARAGUAYAN CHACO. The road will show us an enormous variety of native FLORA and the life of the FAUNA will amaze us. Indian villages are part of the environment of the highway as well as the PAI PUCU School, built of palms. Impressed by the extension of this part of the Paraguayan Chaco, approximately at noon we will arrive at the LOS PIONEROS HOTEL, distant 415 Kms from Asuncion There we will check in. (If necessary other hotels in FILADELFIA or LOMA PLATA are available. After having a little refrigeration, we will visit BOQUERON (base during the war against Bolivia) and if time allows, YALVE SANGA (Indian village). Then we will visit LAGUNA CAPITAN (model cattle farm) and ISLA POI (base during war with Bolivia). Return to the Hotel.
DAY 02: After breakfast, we will visit FILADELFIA and LOMA PLATA, the main cities of the prosperous MENNONITE colonies. There we will see museums, industries, commerce, etc. Return to Asuncion.

Blue Lake's cave

HA.GO 08.01: THE PANTANAL OF THE SOUTHERN MATO GROSSO AND THE STALACTITE CAVES OF BONITO

DAY 01: Departure from Asuncion at 7.00 a.m..Route : Asuncion - Cnel.Oviedo - Yby Yau - Pedro Juan Caballero - Ponta Pora. Lodging in the hotel. Rest of the day at Your disposal. Distance: 590 kms.
DAY 02: Breakfast in the hotel. Departure at 7.00 a.m. Route: Vista Alegre-Guia Lopez da Laguna- Bonito.
Bonito is a town in the center of the limestone meseta of the Serra de Bodoquena which is part of the mesetas which border tha Panatanal. The whole region is well prepared to show the visitors the marvellous ecological environment like the stalactite cave "Cave of the Blue Lake"( with crystalline lake at 90 meteres below the entrance level), the open-air bath, and the Ecological Park "Bahia Bonita" with special programs of adventure- and fishing tours on the tributary rivers of the Formoso River. After our arrival at Bonito we immediately visit the Stalactite Cave of the Blue Lake distant at 21 kms from the center of the town and continue with the Ecologic Park Bahia Bonita with its natural aquarium. Concluded the visit we continue our way to the Pantanal . Route: Bonito - Pitangueiras - Bodoquena - Miranda - Guaicurus - Sâo Simâo - Carandazal - Moro do Azeite - where we stay in the hotel for the night. Distance: 600 kms.
DAY 03: Before sunrise we leave the hotel to get the best observation places to see the awaking Pantanal - Fauna on the old road to Corumba. On the route Passo do Lontra - Curva do Leque to Porto Manga we will find several strategic observation stops before crossing the Paraguay Stream on a ferry - boat. We continue on the right shore in direction to Porto Morrinho and national Highway BR 262 with the possibilities to lodge on the river shore or reach for lodging the town of Corumba, whose jurisdiction contains 60% of the Southern Pantanal Area. Distance 200 kms.
DAY 04: Day at Your disposal to do some boat excursions, fishing tours, or flights over the Pantanl. At 3.00 p.m. we return to Aquidauana where we will stay the night in the hotel. Distance: 282 kms.
DAY 05: Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Asuncion at 8.00 a.m. Route Aquidauana - Nioaque - Bela Vista - Bella Vista del Norte - Yby Yau - Cnel. Oviedo - Asuncion. Distance: 862 kms.
